In New York the mayor is on a crusade to get people healthy. In addition to offering street vendors who sell healthy foods incentives, he thinks that soda larger than 16 ounces should be banned. Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig have both come out in favor of the ban.
A lot of money is spent dealing with health related problems in New York City, approximately $4 billion. The waistline of kids in city schools is expanding despite efforts to reduce sugary drinks in schools.
